The primary purpose of the role is to work in a dedicated financial modelling team to design, build, and implement new financial forecasting capability as part of an ambitious programme to make improvements in multiple areas of our forecasting estate.
The role combines financial expertise with technical proficiency to create accurate and reliable models that facilitate strategic insights and drive business performance.
The successful candidate with collaborate with stakeholders across different departments to understand their modelling needs and requirements, utilising advanced Excel functionality, financial modelling software, and programming languages (such as VBA, SAS, Python, or R) to build robust and scalable models.
The role is pivotal to linking strategic objectives to the corporate planning process, support decision making and manage risk through non-IRB forecasting.
Taking complex financial concepts and translating them in a straightforward manner through excellent communication skills is a key requirement.
