Description

Data Quality & Governance Analyst at Alcumus

As a Data Quality & Governance Analyst at Alcumus, you'll have a crucial role in ensuring we effectively manage the quality, accuracy, and usage of our data assets to enhance efficiency and enable informed decision-making.

Joining our Data & Business Intelligence Team, you will be responsible for measuring and monitoring data quality across our Global platforms, proactively addressing any data risks, and implementing corrective actions to maintain high data quality standards. Additionally, you will play a key role in enhancing data governance practices over time.

What You'll Be Doing Every Day

Providing key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to assess data quality and track progress towards goals.
Developing automated data quality reporting and conducting ad-hoc data analysis to identify issues.
Implementing proactive measures to ensure high data quality standards are met throughout the organization.
Establishing data quality standards, procedures, and controls, conducting regular assessments, and defining corrective actions when necessary.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to address data quality issues and drive continuous improvement.
Working closely with legal and compliance teams to mitigate data-related risks and ensure regulatory compliance.
Supporting the development and implementation of data governance strategies and policies.

What You'll Need to Succeed

Essential:

Strong data analysis skills (SQL proficiency is a plus, Excel is a must).
Experience in documenting data quality rules and procedures.
Knowledge of data quality and governance metrics.
Previous experience focusing on data quality in a similar role.
Experience with data visualization tools like Microsoft Power BI.
Excellent communication skills.
Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

Desirable:

Experience with data management tools and platforms.
Proficiency in SQL queries and relational databases.
Familiarity with data protection regulations and compliance requirements.
