The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Junior Motion Graphic/Edit Assistant to join our Video Production team.

You will be working directly with creative directors, writers, producers as well as the wider creative design team.

The role requires assisting in all areas of post-production, such as editing, motion graphics and animation, prepping incoming edit material for the senior editors, quality control of content and responding to general enquires.

You should have knowledge and experience in all aspects of video production stages and using appropriate software such as After Effects, Premier and Illustrator.

Good organisational skills for archiving, restoring and retrieval are essential. Enjoy using your initiative to help solve problems and work as part of a team.


If you have genuine passion and a good understanding of motion graphic/animation principles and best practices, an interest in learning new skills working in the industry and confidence in your creativity, have 1 to 2 years' experience working in a creative environment with a showreel to demonstrate your work, then this could be a fantastic opportunity for you and your career.


Day to day responsibilities

  • Assist the main operators on video productions in After Effects and editing software Premier or Davinci
  • Taking on your own projects from start to finish to create compelling eyecatching edits, motion graphics & visual effects for social media and TV
  • Sourcing project material, compiling consolidated project material lists under specific jobs and drive purchases efficiently via media asset managers and producers.
  • Downloading & archiving assets to appropriate server locations, prepping assets ready for editors
  • Library duties include Logging hard drives etc and updating their location in the spreadsheet, managing set rushes, transcoding to proxy viewing files and creating backups to the appropriate server locations
  • Quality control final picture and report QC fails/issues to operators, helping resolve any picture/spec issues with main operator before release of final masters and deliverables
  • Learn and develop creative video & technical Postproduction knowledge
  • Develop a good understanding of the character and personality of all betting brands
  • Work closely with different teams and departments, from all territories, across all of Kindred's global brands

Your experience & traits

  • Lots of initiative and a proactive attitude
  • Good organisational skills for archiving, restoring and retrieval, someone who takes pride on keeping things in order
  • Positive outlook & excellent communication skills
  • Natural problem solver
  • Confident in After Effects and animation as well as some knowledge of curves and easings in the graph editor
  • Basic Photoshop and illustrator skills for prepping and updating
  • Knowledge external plugins for After Effects such as Red Giant & Video Copilot
  • Some editing experience in DaVinci Resolve, Premier or equivalent
  • Experience of Rotoscoping
  • Good understanding of traditional animation principles/techniques
  • Solid design foundation confident and informed use of colour, natural sense of balance, composition and an eye for wellpresented aesthetic outcome
  • An interest in the betting industry/a love of sport/gaming/esports
  • Most importantly, a genuine passion and drive to provide each and every client with the best creative solution

Valuable but not essential experience

  • Knowledge of postproduction best practice and workflows eg; offline and Online editing
  • Past experience working on & delivering TVC's/social media content to channels
  • VFX Compositing, tracking, roto & object removal
