Senior Finance Manager - Woolwich, London.

£55,000 - £65,000 + Benefits.


GiBe Finance are delighted to be managing an exclusive search to hire a Senior Finance Manager for a large and well known sports related business.

This organisation have a culture that is supportive, inclusive and incredibly people centric.


The successful Senior Finance Manager is likely to be a qualified accountant (_ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent)_ and have a very varied accounting background that spans across shared services, AP, AR, Management ^ Financial Accounting - we are lookingfor a great all-rounder.


This role is offering the chance to join a finance team of 40+ and really help drive standards and help improve systems and processes.

The Role


This role sits in the UK Shared Service Centre so would suit someone who likes being hands on and really getting in the detail.

The successful Senior Finance Manager will be involved in the following:

  • Lead and manage a large and capable transactional finance team.
  • Support accounts payable, accounts receivable and the billing team.
  • Lead process improvement and accounting across the Shared Service Centre.
  • Assist with treasury, tax and banking.
  • Lead and oversee all monthly reporting and management accounting.
  • Feel happy being hands on with double entry accounting and balance sheets.
  • Be happy with financial reporting and statutory accounting.
  • Support with some key FP&A reporting around budgets and forecasts.
  • Always be looking to improve controls, processes and systems.
  • Experience in Cash Management, Reconciliations & Revenue Protection.

Your Profile
We are looking for an innovative people person who has a passion for accounting.

Being able to work in Woolwich on a daily basis is essential.

If you tick the following boxes then great

  • Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA)
  • Have managed a full finance team. (AP, AR, Billings etc)
  • Have some Shared Service (SSC) experience.
This role is fully office based, however they finish at 1.30 on a Friday. Working hours Monday - Thursday are 8.15am - 5.30pm.
