About the role

Are you an enthusiastic team player who is looking for a new challenge within the Council? The Anti-Poverty Hub has been developed to support residents of Cambridgeshire navigate the challenges associate with the cost of living crisis and is looking for new team members.


The post holder will be responsible for working alongside a dedicated team of Coordinators helping residents across Cambridgeshire who are struggling with the cost of living.

They will need good conversational skills to understand the complexities of individual situations as well as prioritisation skills to provide effective support.


We are looking for someone with a real passion for supporting people and problem solving, you will be joining a fast-paced environment, we see the strength of the hub in the diverse skillsets of the staff that are with us.

Interviews will take place from 21st July 2023

This is a fixed term role concluding 31st March 2024 with a view to extend until 31st March 2025

What will you be doing?
The day to day tasks of a coordinator include:

  • Phoning residents that have applied for support through the Household Support Fund
  • Understanding the difficulties each applicant you contact is facing
  • Researching and finding appropriate support for the resident
  • Issuing appropriate financial support through the Household Support Fund
  • Working closely with other team members to dissect complex cases and support each other
