  • MOJ PI UK HYBRID WORKING. SALARY £26,000 £28,000 Band 5. You'll be responsible for your own caseload of both MOJ and OIC claims.

Responsibilities:


  • Respond to claims on both the MOJ/OIC portals within the strict timescales set.
  • Maintain your own caseload to a high standard, ensuring all actions are documented correctly, and the claims system is kept up to date
  • Make necessary investigations and decisions when negotiating liability and quantum, whilst always considering the potential for fraud and litigation.
  • Liaise and negotiate with all relevant parties to progress and settle claims quickly and effectively within your authority level.
  • Evaluate, negotiate and settle claims ranging from whiplash (including psychological injuries) to more complex injuries including but not exclusively head injuries, fractures, scarring and fatalities.
  • Work to tight deadlines and guidelines, understanding costs implications if not met.
  • Raise settlement cheques promptly and accurately.
  • Respond to feedback from quality audits to grow your technical capability.
  • Provide advice and guidance where necessary to other departments

Knowledge, Experience and Qualifications:

  • Sound knowledge of thirdparty claims Motor Claims and the OIC/MOJ portal protocols.
  • Experience of dealing with Fast Track Personal Injury claims both within the MOJ portal and the RTA protocol.
  • Experience of handling own caseload
  • Strong negotiations and persuasion skills
  • Understanding of principles surrounding litigation and cost implications
  • Ability to plan, organise and prioritise own workload and work to tight deadlines
  • Good level of verbal and numerical skills and be able to problem solve
  • Be able to work as part of a team and independently
  • Knowledge and experience of CPR
  • Ability to stay up to date with market changes and developments
