Overview:

Senior Third Party Claims Handler. UK HYBRID WORKING. Salary Up To £32, Band 4. Excellent benefits package, training, up to 28 days holiday, bonus scheme (7.5% of basic salary based on business and personal performance), healthcare, pension, life assurance, and many other lifestyle discounts. Working hours 37.5 hours per week. Mon - Fri 9-5.

You'll be required to handle your own allocation of third-party claims in line with agreed authority levels, handling guidelines and procedures, Claims strategy, and culture.

Ensure claims are settled quickly and cost-effectively.


Act as a technical referral point for claims handlers and support the development of the claims team by being an effective coach and role model.

Responsibilities:


  • Maintain your own caseload to a high standard, ensuring all actions are documented correctly, and the claims system is kept up to date.
  • Make necessary investigations and decisions on liability and quantum, whilst always considering the potential for fraud.
  • Liaise and negotiate with all relevant parties to progress and settle claims quickly and effectively within your authority level.
  • Ensure your files are accurately reserved in line with the company reserving philosophy.
  • Raise settlement cheques promptly and accurately.
  • Provide a high level of service to customers, third party's and suppliers.
  • Support development and delivery of the claims strategy and vision. vision.
  • Undertake quality audits on claim files and provide feedback to handlers.
  • Handle and log complaints in line with FSA and company requirements and guidelines.

Knowledge, Experience and Qualifications:

  • Expert knowledge of Motor Claims, particularly thirdparty claims.
  • Strong negotiations and persuasion skills.
  • Ability to plan, organise and prioritise own workload.
  • Good level of verbal and numerical skills and be able to problem solve.
  • Be able to work as part of a team.
  • Knowledge and experience of CPR.
  • Ability to stay up to date with market changes and developments.
  • Leadership and coaching experience.
