ROLE - Immigration Fee Earner

LOCATION - Manchester

My client is currently recruiting for an immigration fee, earner with experience of Legal Aid.
Case Level 1 or 2 Caseworker
Fulltime and office based at our offices in Manchester.

We are looking for a SOLICITOR (at least 3 years PQE) or SENIOR CASEWORKER/PARALEGAL (of same or equivalent level of experience) who has had exposure to a wide variety of personal and corporate immigration, nationality, asylum and EU law matters (with a predominant interest in immigration and asylum law).

Manage their own caseload and instruct counsel
Engage in correspondence with clients and relevant third parties
Research on matters of fact and law
Deal with daytoday administrative matters (including filing and billing)
Engage in business development
At least 3 years of relevant experience
Strong academics (degree in law from a UK university at 2:1 class or higher) are preferred but not essential
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks
Good attention to detail
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
Excellent communication and team working skills
An excellent command of English, both written and spoken
