We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Assistant to join the team in our Hammersmith office on a part-time basis: 3 days per week, up to 22.5 hrs (hours can be negotiated).


As Finance Assistant you will be responsible for maintaining the payments system accurately on the accounting database and ensuring that suppliers are paid on time on a weekly basis.

You will deal with queries from suppliers, and check supplier statements to ensure that payments are accurate and complete.

You will develop and implement improvements as appropriate to ensure that finance systems and coding structures keep up with new developments.


You will have at least one year's experience using an accounting package within a similar finance role, and you will be able to work to high levels of accuracy with large and increasing volumes and complexity.


Responsibilities:


  • Ensure that all payments are properly authorised and coded, and that payments are made accurately and to the correct supplier's bank accounts.
  • Operate the Trading sales and purchase ledger accurately, including the correct treatment of VAT.
  • Ensuring that the Hansa accounting system is operated accurately and efficiently, and kept up to date, recognising if there are any anomalies or inaccuracies.
  • Enter data into Hansa and produce reports.
