IELTS Administrator


Contract:
Fixed term starting December 22 until end of October 23


Location:
Kings Oxford


Reports to:
IELTS Manager


Hours of work:21 hours per week working Monday, Thursday and Fridays on non-testing weeks and Wednesday, Thursday and Friday on testing weeks. During testing weeks and periods of absence and holiday an element of flexibility is needed on working hours and days are needed. Standard hours 9am-4:30pm with 30 minutes break. On testing weeks Friday hours around testing needs


Salary:

Annual salary range FTE is £23,000 to £25,000 per annum which equates to £13,800 to £15,000 based on working 21 hours per week.

Paid in monthly instalments


Annual Holiday Entitlement:

You are entitled to 25 days plus bank holidays pro rata for part time, of which, up to 3 days must be reserved for the Christmas closure period.

Holidays are agreed through the standard holiday procedure


Role Description
IELTS, the International English Language Testing System, is jointly owned by The British Council;


IDP:
IELTS Australia and Cambridge English Language Assessment.

The test is designed to assess the language ability of people who want to study or work where English is the language of communication.

Kings Oxford IELTS Test Centre is a provider of the IELTS test.

It is the role of the IELTS Administrator to support IELTS Manager in ensuring the British Council's regulatory framework is fulfilled at all times as well as to participate in regular audits.


The IELTS Administrator assists the IELTS Manager with the overall administration of the IELTS test and contributes to all processes relating to test delivery while maintaining the security of the IELTS test at all times.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Maintain stock control of test materials
  • Assist the IELTS Manager to maintain correct records for all IELTS staff
  • Participate in internal and British Council led audits
  • Set up speaking sessions and assist with speaking tests apportionment
  • Assist with packing and unpacking test materials before and after the test
  • Assist in the supervision of the speaking test sessions, including the setup of the registration rooms, IT equipment and test rooms
  • Download speaking tests from the digital recorders and rename files
  • Oversee all aspects of the main test delivery on Saturday and ensure all invigilators tasks are performed to the correct standard
  • Enter and confirm test scores
  • Arrange double marking
  • Generate, sign, stamp and post Test Report Forms (TRFs)
  • Process requests for additional TRFs and Enquiry on Results
  • General office duties (filing, photocopying, shredding) as required
  • Cover Senior Administrator duties in their absence
  • N.B. You may be required to cover duties not listed within this job description
