Assistant Management Accountant - Buckingham, United Kingdom - Plus One
Description
Main responsibilities:
- Record day to day financial transactions and complete the posting process
- Sales Ledger processing
- Purchase Ledger processing of sterling and currency ledgers.
- Sterling and currency bank reconciliations
- Expenses reconciliation
- Supplier payment and credit control
- Verify that transactions are correctly entered in purchase ledger, sales ledger and nominal ledger.
- Process quarterly VAT returns and submit to HMRC
- Liaise directly with suppliers and customers as required
- Preparation of quarterly reconciliations and reports for handover to the Accountant.
- Liaise with payroll bureau
- General administration
- Updating and maintaining procedural documentation
- Assist with other tasks arising in a small office environment
- Preparation of annual profit and loss budgets and forecasts
- Preparation and monitoring of annual and shortterm cash flow forecasts
- Provide product costing as required
- Preparation of quarterly and annual management accountants
- Analytical review of accounts against budgets and established KPI's
- Attending management meetings as required
- Preparation of detailed schedules and management information for Statutory Accounts preparation
- Collation of Corporation Tax information as required
- Liaising with Accountant to ensure accounts and submissions meet HMRC deadlines.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Solid understanding of bookkeeping and accounting.
- Previous experience of putting together management accounts for a small business.
- Attention to detail with analytical skills
- Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
- Proficiency in English and ability to communicate clearly
- Customer service orientation and negotiation skills
- Good general IT and MS Office skills

:Monday-Thursday 8:30am5:00pm and
Friday 8:30 4pm_
