    Description

    Step Teachers are a preferred supplier of Teach in Herts; we are currently working with a Primary School who are looking for a KS1 Class Teachers to start on a permanent contract in September 2024. This KS1 Class Teacher position will involve teaching a mixed Year 1 and 2 Class and is a full time role.

    This Primary School is rated 'Good' by Ofsted and is part of a multi-academy trust. Their ethos is focused around being a supportive and nurturing school, where both students and staff are respected and their time at the school is enjoyable.

    KS1 Class Teacher Role:

    • Strong knowledge of the curriculum at Key Stage 1
    • Upkeep a tidy, organised classroom with accessible resources where needed
    • Work effectively with other members of staff, both within the classroom, and throughout the school
    • Ability to monitor, assess and report on the progress of your students
    • Able to plan and deliver engaging lesson that can be adapted to the needs of the class
    • Willingness to comply with the schools' policies and implement them effectively

    KS1 Class Teacher Requirements:

    • Hold Qualified Teaching Status
    • Recent mainstream school-based experience as a Primary School Teacher
    • Have a good level of classroom and behaviour management
    • Experience working with SEND is desirable
