Introduction
Parliament's Strategic Estates team (SE) manages all property and engineering infrastructure across the Parliamentary Estate. The Estate consists of around 14 main buildings ranging from the historic Palace of Westminster to the modern Portcullis House, is located within a UNESCO World Heritage site, and spans 4 conservation areas


The Role


The Technical Support Officer will work with the building services (mechanical, electrical, public health, and controls/communications) engineers, sustainability team and heritage architectural team in the Design Authority to provide support, technical guidance and assurance to programme and project delivery teams.


Some of the Responsibilities include:

  • Contract administration for NEC3 type framework agreements and contracts
  • Set up templates for documents to be filed and advertised to other teams
  • Maintain shared online databases to assist contract management data collation
  • Organise contract compliance meetings on a regular basis with consultants on the framework

Essential qualifications, knowledge, skills, experience and behaviours
To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:

  • Diploma or HND or HNC
  • Examples of successful knowledge and use of good digital tools usage for handling records, data, and collaborative trackers.
  • Contract management.
