The Opportunity
Are you ready for your next career move into the HR world?

Do you have experience in assisting HR Managers or Advisers with supporting employee relations cases?


We are looking for an HR Adviser to support the Senior HR Manager and Senior HR Adviser to deliver key PDS people objectives, and support and contribute towards the delivery of the House of Commons & Parliamentary Digital Service People Strategy.

In this role you will be responsible for supporting:

- with providing timely and appropriate support and advice to managers on HR policies, procedures and processes and its conditions of service.
- supporting employee relations casework, for example, supporting informal stages or formal hearings for disciplinary, grievance, performance or absence management; note taking; preparing and filing documents for meetings or the case.
- provide information about HR policies, procedures and policies to managers and staff as appropriate
.

What You Need
- some experience of assisting with providing timely and appropriate support and advice to managers on HR policies, procedures and processes and conditions of service.
- excellent communication skills, both oral and written, including the ability to draft accurate and easily understood documents and to explain policies to line managers.
- experience with and able to deal with sensitive and confidential matters, exercising tact and discretion at all times in dealings with individuals on HR related matters.
- the ability to pass security clearance, backed by the right to work in the UK


About The Team


The Parliamentary Digital Service, a joint department of both Houses of Parliament, provides technology and intranet services to all Parliamentary users.

It is also responsible for the strategic direction of Parliament's digital offering through Parliament's Digital Strategy and the delivery and management of parliamentary digital platforms, including the website.

We support Parliament through our team of over 450 dedicated and professional digital colleagues.


The PDS HR - People & Culture team are a team of HR professionals that enable the delivery of key PDS people objectives and support and contribute towards the delivery of the House of Commons & Parliamentary Digital Service People Strategy.
