    About the Position:


    Tradewins is collaborating with a highly respected secondary school in Barnsley that is looking for a devoted and enthusiastic Design and Technology (DT) Instructor to join their DT team in September 2024. This presents a fantastic opportunity for a passionate educator to be part of an innovative and supportive teaching environment that motivates students to reach their full potential in DT. NQTs are encouraged to apply.

    Key Responsibilities:
    - Plan, organize, and deliver engaging and challenging DT lessons.
    - Teach a diverse range of students, ensuring continuous progress.
    - Create and implement inventive teaching approaches to boost learning outcomes.
    - Evaluate, track, and communicate student advancements, offering constructive feedback.
    - Effectively manage classroom behavior to foster a safe and positive learning atmosphere.
    - Work collaboratively with peers to develop and exchange best practices.
    - Attend departmental meetings, parent gatherings, and school functions when necessary.
    - Stay current with the DT curriculum and industry developments.

    Requirements:
    - Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent accreditation.
    - A degree in Design and Technology or a related field.
    - Demonstrated experience teaching DT at the secondary school level.
    - Strong classroom management capabilities.
    - Superior communication and interpersonal skills.
    - Devotion to ongoing professional growth and keeping abreast of educational excellence.
    - Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to acquire one).
