Description
As a member of the NSG Group, Pilkington is one of the leading glass suppliers in the UK.


We are now seeking an Operations Manager to manage and coordinate all branch operational activities, ensuring the efficient use of all resources.


Reporting to the Branch Manager, you'll provide leadership, guidance, and effective communication to ensure that direct reports, Production Operatives and Drivers meet operational targets and ad-hoc requests in a timely and accurate manner, whilst maintaining and improving the current high Health & Safety and product quality standards at the Bradford site.


You'll take responsibility for production planning, stock control and production control for Logistics, Transport, Fleet and Warehousing, and pro-actively work with all areas of the business to ensure targets and customer requirements are met.

You'll maximise the utilisation of the asset base, involving all areas and functions, to achieve the best possible results, and manage certain aspects of HR on site, including recruitment, absence management, training, and development and disciplinaries.

You'll also manage maintenance and engineering activities on site, ensuring all contractors and visitors comply with site rules and procedures, and be the key user for site time and attendance systems, ensuring that annual leave and absence data is monitored and accurately recorded.
