    We have an exciting opportunity for a Assistant Psychologist to join our team at HMP Onley, a category C Prison located in Rugby

    Hours -

    The site currently offers a rolling rota shift pattern.

    Salary

    This position is full time, youll receive an annual salary up to 30,660 per annum - depending on experience.

    Main duties of the job

    As a Assistant Psychologist, your responsibilities will vary. You will

  • Support and enhance the psychological care of prisoners covered by Practice Plus Group Mental Health Team; providing psychological assessment and psychological interventions under the supervision of a qualified psychologist, working independently according to a plan agreed with a qualified psychologist and within the overall framework of the teams policies and procedures.
  • You will have experience of working with mentally disordered offenders, prisoners or psychiatric patients and have training in the theory and application of at least one therapeutic model.
  • Your experience of running patient therapeutic groups, psychological interventions and therapies will help you to provide the best possible care to our patients.

  • As a University graduate in Psychology you will be able to communicate at all levels working unsupervised while following policy and procedures.
  • You will have experience of working with mentally disordered offenders, prisoners or psychiatric patients and have training in the theory and application of at least one therapeutic model.
  • Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
