We have an exciting opportunity for a Assistant Psychologist to join our team at HMP Onley, a category C Prison located in Rugby

Hours -

The site currently offers a rolling rota shift pattern.

Salary

This position is full time, youll receive an annual salary up to 30,660 per annum - depending on experience.

Main duties of the job

As a Assistant Psychologist, your responsibilities will vary. You will

Support and enhance the psychological care of prisoners covered by Practice Plus Group Mental Health Team; providing psychological assessment and psychological interventions under the supervision of a qualified psychologist, working independently according to a plan agreed with a qualified psychologist and within the overall framework of the teams policies and procedures.

You will have experience of working with mentally disordered offenders, prisoners or psychiatric patients and have training in the theory and application of at least one therapeutic model.

Your experience of running patient therapeutic groups, psychological interventions and therapies will help you to provide the best possible care to our patients.

As a University graduate in Psychology you will be able to communicate at all levels working unsupervised while following policy and procedures.

You will have experience of working with mentally disordered offenders, prisoners or psychiatric patients and have training in the theory and application of at least one therapeutic model.

Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
