    Description

    About the role:

    The roleis offered on a 9-month FTC basis, as part of a major transformation programme here at Harding+. Youwill work closely with the various category merchandising teams to analyse ranges, to aid decision making and maximise future performance as part of our range review programme.

    This role requires regular communication with key stakeholders from around the business including Buyers, Shipboard Retail Managers, Area Managers, Logistics and Marketing.

    Based in Avonmouth on a hybrid working basis – 2/3 days per week.

    Compensation – competitive salary, pension, 4 x life assurance, healthcare, 25 days leave annually (including Christmas shutdown)

    What you will be doing:

  • Produce full and detailed category range review analysis, including range and supplier performance
  • Identify lessons learnt and future opportunities
  • Work with Buying to develop a strategy to maximise performance in line with the company objectives
  • Make recommendations for promotional activities to clear old stock, minimising loss of margin and generating maximum sales
  • Accompany category teams on ship visits and trade show visits / vendor meeting
  • About you:

  • Experience in retail merchandising, with advanced planning and analytical skills, including Excel
  • Flexible approach to work, adapting quickly and effectively to unexpected changes
  • Good judgement and decision-making skills, confident in suggesting calculated risks
  • Strong customer awareness and understanding
  • Passionate about product, strong market and brand awareness
  • Exceptionally organised, methodical, and efficient, to meet stringent deadlines
  • Must have an existing right of eligibility to work in the UK
