We currently have a part time vacancy for a Domestic Assistant to join our team.


This positions will involve working within our Residential Unit 30 hours per week and will involve working part of alternate weekends.


As a Domestic Assistant you'll be working as part of the wider team to make sure our residents receive a high standard of care and support in the best possible surroundings.

By ensuring the residents surroundings within the buildings are clean, hygienic and well presented, you'll be playing your own part in helping everyone to feel comfortable and at home.

This role will involve hoovering, mopping, dusting cleaning, and contributing to the overall look and feel of the home.

Previous experience in a similar role is desirable, but not essential.


JOB PURPOSE:

To maintain a safe and clean environment for our residents, in accordance with Croft Care Trust policies & procedures.


SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Friendly, creative and confident
  • Genuine interest in working with the people with Learning Difficulties
  • Have life skills
  • Satisfactory DBS check against the POVA List (where applicable).
No formal qualifications are required to undertake this role as appropriate training will be provided


Desired:

- knowledge of COSHH and infection control would be beneficial

  • Flexible approach towards working routines

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Spot cleaning of carpets/flooring
  • Operating hand held powered equipment such as vacuum cleaners or carpet cleaner
  • Sweeping and mopping
  • Toilet cleaning
  • Cleaning of residents individual rooms and performing of domestic work including but not limited to cleaning and washing
  • Dusting of hard surfaces
  • Wiping and sweeping under around seats and table tops
  • Telephone cleaning & germ proofing
  • Re-arrange and re-organising furniture

Job Types:
Part-time, Permanent


Salary:
£10.50 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week
