About us
Petroineos Refining and Trading is one of the largest independent refiners trading in Europe. We are recruiting for an experienced Sips Coordinator to join our Offsites Team, based at our Grangemouth site on a full
- time basis. This role is a temporary role for approx. 12 months.


Purpose of the role


The SIPs Coordinator will scope, estimate, coordinate and confirm readiness and quality of all SIP's requirements in the Corrosion Loop (CLP) inspection process, including second level supervision of the contractors executing the scope.

Responsible for owning, driving and managing the scaffolding requirements, including the standing scaffolding report on a daily basis and will carry out aforementioned remit safely, efficiently and cost effectively while complying with all company procedures and international standards.


Key Accountabilities:


  • Provide job coordination in line with legislation, national, international and company standards by building accurate SIP's work packs and requests for the term contractors
  • Actively participate in Gate Keeping to carry out appropriate level of risk assessment for every planned job before work commences ensuring all risks are identified with mitigation in place
  • Guide 2nd level of supervision to achieve HSE, quality and efficiency standards for CLP activities to achieve productive tool time within the maintenance organisation and ensure the service represents value for money
  • Support the efficient backlog management to achieve mandatory inspection requirements for continued safe operation
  • Maintain the data in the CMMS ( Computerised Maintenance Management System) to enable effective planning, auditing and record keeping
  • Perform regular audits of the Term Contractors to ensure cost, duration and quality are of expected levels highlighting any noncompliance with the contract owner and advising on improvement opportunities
  • Drive the continual assessment of the term contractor norms for their trade ensuring the business receives the best possible price
  • Actively participate in the CLP meeting and management process, communicating clearly with stakeholders
  • Carry out final Technical QA for the completed work fronts, ensuring the client has performed the brief to the required standard
  • Create and/or update Maintenance documentation where they are missing, errors or there are omissions
  • Appraise and challenge the accuracy of the Scaffolding report as well as identify all scaffolds that can come down, ensuring knowledge of all scaffolds standing in the area
  • Carry out all executable work in compliance with the RAPNet permit, work pack, procedure and/or method statement in an appropriate time as defined by the schedule
  • Participate in TBRA and/or constructability sessions as required
  • Requirements to work within the conditions of the plant. This includes but is not limited to working at height, working within confined spaces and using breathing apparatus
  • Liaise with external suppliers and third parties to keep up to date with technological advancement to ensure the Maintenance function is as efficient as possible
  • Review and audit lifting operations across the Petroineos site and record the findings in Traction
  • Provide technical specialist expertise as part of any investigation team working on SIP's related incidents

Skills/Experience:


Required

  • Extensive experience in a SIPS background.
  • Knowledge of Scaffolding techniques and fully conversant with SG4:15 and TG 20:1
  • Scaffolding/Insulation Inspector Certified
  • IRATA (or equivalent) Rope Access Trained
  • Proven experience of the Estimation and QA of SIPS resourcing
  • Able to communicate effectively at all levels, particularly client planning teams and SIPS contractor employees and supervision
  • Direct experience of SIP's within the relevant industry working on term contract, projects, and Turnaround's
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels, particularly client planning teams and SIPS contractor employees and supervision.
  • Track record in successfully delivering set piece events e.g. small projects, CLP's
  • Knowledge of national and international technical standards for discipline.
  • Proficient in reading isometric drawings

Desirable

  • Experience in the supervision of a discipline specific team
  • A detailed understanding of the maintenance workflow process and Maximo
  • Understanding of the budgeting process and cost control
  • Proficient in computer systems, including Microsoft and CMMS
  • HNC and SVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
