Deputy Manager - Small Residential Care Home

Bedford

Blakely Scott are working alongside a valued client in their search for a Deputy Manager for a small residential care home for elderly residents in Bedford.

We are looking for a natural leader who has a strong background in working within elderly care homes, and who has a passion for delivering excellent care, to maintain the home's Good CQC rating and great reputation in the local area.

The Role

The role will include working closely with the Registered Manager, stepping up into Acting Manager as and when needed.
You will ensure standards are maintained throughout the home
Review care plans and risk assessments
Manage staff of different levels and deploy efficiently throughout the home
Work with Registered Manager on recruitment and inductions
Establish strong relationships with residents and their families
Support the Registered Manager in maintaining strong external relationships with Local Authorities, Councils and CCGs

Essential:

Clear DBS
NVQ Level 3 Qualification in Health and Social Care
Relevant Deputy Manager or Team Leader experience in an elderly care home
Ability to work to CQC guidelines and standards
Flexibility when needed to cover on call / some weekend work
