Description
To provide an efficient and effective administration support for the Research and Innovation Team.


To work without supervision when required and to develop essential competency through training to ensure accuracy and attention to detail.


To support the team in liaising with a wide range of clinical teams and departments and answering and redirecting telephone queries which include communications with patient and external organisation.


  • To support staff within the Research and Innovation team with administrative tasks such as arranging meetings, booking rooms, tracking medical notes, arranging catering, maintaining departmental records (such as sickness forms and training records), and archiving project and other files.
  • To ensure deadlines are met and take appropriate action to make sure work is completed to given timescales
  • Deal with queries from patients and the public in a sensitive and timely manner, redirecting as required to an appropriate member of the team.
  • Efficiently maintain stationery and supplies within the department
  • Maintain departmental petty cash floats
  • Effectively use resources and minimise waste.
  • Support the department with required orders/ purchases, liaising with managers regarding finance when appropriate, ordering and receipting through electronic ordering system.
  • Effectively use required computerised administration systems
