Description

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and highly motivated Health Care Support Worker who can demonstrate the ability to work in a busy environment.

B6 is a very fast paced ward, caring for specialties such as Urology, Ophthalmology and Head and Neck patients with complex airway needs.

B6 compromises of 38 beds with patients being admitted via the emergency stream and ITU step downs. Patients can be very complex and can require a multidisciplinary approach.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.


Typical duties will involve but not limited to:

  • Carry out procedures/tasks as required.
  • Obtain and test samples and other specimens
  • Clearing and restocking consulting rooms
  • Contribute to admission/discharge process
  • Check pain levels/observations
  • Assist in preparing for clinical procedures and clearing the environment afterwards as appropriate
