Egg Packer

Location:
Maften, Northumberland (MUST BE ABLE TO DRIVE)

Working Hours:
Part time shifts between 9.30am-1.30pm (approx.)
-
2-3 days per week (ideal for school hours/students)

Salary:
£ per hour (self-employed basis)

We have an opportunity for someone to join our small team, helping us in grading and packing the eggs, ready for delivery of the eggs to both retail and trade customers across the Northeast.


This is a family business where energy, initiative & commitment are essential so the successful applicant will be initiative-taking, conscientious & a strong team player but also be able to work alone and use their own initiative.


Key duties will include:


  • Working as part of a small team, operating our egg grading machine to grade and pack the eggs ready for delivery
  • Being proactive and using initiative in relation to daily workload
  • Completing paperwork/records as required
  • Moving products safely, using equipment as required following Manual handling & H&S guidelines
  • Assist in cleaning the machinery & general work area at the end of each day
  • Putting together customer orders with additional products ordered, supporting the delivery drivers in the loading of orders

What we are looking for:


  • We are looking for an efficient, hardworking, and dependable person to join the Team
  • Fit and healthy as this work involves lifting cases of eggs
  • Previous packing experience is not essential as onsite training will be given
  • Supporting the rest of the team, taking a pride in your work, and providing customers with polite, friendly, and efficient service.
  • Motivated, willing, and keen to take responsibility
  • Able to work as part of a small team
  • Flexible with a 'Can Do' attitude

Job Type:

Salary:
£10.50-£12.00 per hour
