East Suffolk Council is an exciting place to work, delivering essential local services and making a real difference to a quarter of a million people across East Suffolk.

The Suffolk Councils are delighted to have secured funding from Cadent, the largest gas distribution network operator, to deliver a 2 year programme focussed on residents who are struggling to keep warm across our county.

The programme is being hosted by East Suffolk Council, but we are driven by the commitment and enthusiasm from all the Suffolk district and borough councils.

The programme will link in with the Safe Suffolk Renters programme (URL) but be available to support all residents regardless of their tenure status.

We are very excited to have this opportunity to support our communities and residents and have an opportunity to join East Suffolk Council's Private Sector Housing Team as a
Support Officer (Centres for Warmth).

We are looking for a self-starter with a background in supporting individuals with housing and financial issues.

Someone with experience of budgetary support who is empathetic and able to identify multiple support needs and signpost to provide a holistic support network for sustainable support for vulnerable members of the community.

This is a role for someone who wants to make a difference, enjoys being part of a team and enjoys a challenge.
