Materials Coordinator - Logistics
Job description:
Main accountabilities:
The Materials Coordinator shall provide support in the delivery of an efficient service to meet the needs of the business by;
- Ensuring Logistics procedures and processes are followed in the relevant discipline as assigned in Goods In, Shipping or Goods Return / Yard.
- Goods are checked for Quantity and any apparent damage at each stage of the process.
- Goods are as listed on relevant Purchase Orders, Delivery Notes, Outward and Inward Shipping Manifests.
- Goods are as requested against Purchase Orders and Shipping Requests / Instructions
- Information updates and document creation completed on Company ERP system.
You are meant for this job if:
Typical background and experience required:
Essential:
- Previous experience in Warehouse and Logistics operations.
- Relevant Operator Certificates for Forklifts.
- Knowledge of shipping Dangerous Goods by Sea & Air
- Good organisational skills with a capacity to work on own initiative as well as part of a busy team
Nice to have:
- Full, clean driving licence
- 3 years' experience in Warehouse and Logistics operations.
- Good knowledge of the Manual Handling regulations.
- Knowledge of HM Customs procedures and routines.
- Knowledge of Air, Sea and Road freight shipment regulations.
- Knowledge of Handling & Storage of Hazardous Materials, certification and documentation required to transport them.
