Materials Coordinator - Logistics


Job description:


Main accountabilities:

The Materials Coordinator shall provide support in the delivery of an efficient service to meet the needs of the business by;

  • Ensuring Logistics procedures and processes are followed in the relevant discipline as assigned in Goods In, Shipping or Goods Return / Yard.
  • Goods are checked for Quantity and any apparent damage at each stage of the process.
  • Goods are as listed on relevant Purchase Orders, Delivery Notes, Outward and Inward Shipping Manifests.
  • Goods are as requested against Purchase Orders and Shipping Requests / Instructions
  • Information updates and document creation completed on Company ERP system.

You are meant for this job if:


Typical background and experience required:


Essential:


  • Previous experience in Warehouse and Logistics operations.
  • Relevant Operator Certificates for Forklifts.
  • Knowledge of shipping Dangerous Goods by Sea & Air
  • Good organisational skills with a capacity to work on own initiative as well as part of a busy team

Nice to have:


  • Full, clean driving licence
  • 3 years' experience in Warehouse and Logistics operations.
  • Good knowledge of the Manual Handling regulations.
  • Knowledge of HM Customs procedures and routines.
  • Knowledge of Air, Sea and Road freight shipment regulations.
  • Knowledge of Handling & Storage of Hazardous Materials, certification and documentation required to transport them.

  • An ability to participate in identifying and implementing change.
