- The Senior Installation Engineer shall be able to independently execute a large installation or operation package scope of Work (SOW) and be able to lead a team of installation engineers in a project to perform and deliver the required engineering work as per the project requirement.
- The Senior Installation Engineer is required to be able to provide technically complex solutions in challenging project environment in accordance to TechnipFMC standards, procedures, processes, schedules and budget, with a continuous concern for quality, target deadlines and customer satisfaction.
- Deliver technically robust, high quality, safe, environmentally responsible and cost-effective engineering solution on a small EPIC or T&I project or tender relative to an allocated scope of work.
- Responsible for planning and executing the scope of work for assigned scope.
- Originate or check engineering deliverables on standard discipline engineering design, ensure compliance to project, statutory and TechnipFMC Group specification / standards.
- Promote Quality, Health, Safety and Enviromental policies and enforces them within areas of responsibilities.
- Preparation or Review of engineering task descriptions and drawing requisitions to interface with other disciplines and drafting office.
- Assist as required by projects on procurement of either permanent or temporary material/ equipment associated with discipline engineering
- Provide site engineering supervision/ technical assistance for manufacturing, fabrication and/ or installation site
- Interface with various engineering disciplines and drafting team as well as other projects, project functions and subcontractors to deliver assigned work scope
- Acting as the main focal point of contact and attend meetings with internally, externally stakeholders and with the client for the allocated package / scope
- Support Project and Engineering management via input into the development of manpower work estimates, work scope assignments, engineering schedules, Document Responsibility and Assignment Matrix (DRAM) and progress measurement system (eg Janus) for scopes of work and resources under the control of the engineer.
- Co-ordinate and / or chair project meetings including HAZID and Constructability Review sessions.
- Participate in the identification and control of work scope risks and opportunities
- Active participation in technical, peer, safety and readiness reviews
- Preparation or checking of the specifications and scope of works for subcontractors, technical bid tabulations and technical support.
- Management and follow-up of subcontractors, vendors as well as interface towards other contractors or stakeholders.
- Guide, support and mentor the assigned engineers working under his/her supervision.
- Bachelor Degree or Master of Science (MSC) in relevant engineering discipline.
- Knowledge of oil and gas industry in relevant business line.
- Minimum more than 7 years in similar job or environment, minimum 5 years' experience in oil and gas industry with experience relevant to offshore installation.
- Able to travel to either onshore or offshore sites when required
- Able to work extended hours occasionally to meet job / project requirement.
- Good verbal and written English.
- Umbilical installation experience.
- Flexible pipe installation experience.
- Subsea lifting Installation experience.
- Experience with diving/driverless (ROV) solutions and construction techniques.
- Basic survey and pre-commissioning experience.
- Basic vessel motion response theory.
- Orca flex or equivalent analysis software experience.
- Sea fastening awareness.
- Rigging design.
- Planning of offshore and engineering activities.
- Basic contract and commercial awareness.
