Salary - Grade- GBP £37,575 to £38, SO1- Contract Type- Permanent- Contracted Hours- Full Time - 36 hours per week- DBS Required- Yes- Department- Adults, Health & Integration- Service- Adult Services- Closing date- 25/02/2024The City and Hackney Safeguarding Adults Board (SAB) is recruiting to the post of Business Support Officer.

We are an ambitious Board working collaboratively across the City and Hackney to ensure that all adults are safeguarded from abuse and neglect in a way that supports them to make choices and have control about how they live.


The Business Support Officer will help coordinate the work of the City and Hackney SAB, providing business support for the Board, its subgroups and task and finish groups.

You will work closely with the CHSAB Manager, Independent Chair and partners, ensuring the Board fulfils its statutory responsibilities and meets national and local requirements for service improvement.


You will report to the City and Hackney SAB Manager and be responsible for dealing with stakeholders and customers, providing information about the team.

You will also carry out a number of key admin duties including preparing correspondence, documents and reports for partners, coordinating the effective management of meetings and agendas, coordinating any new safeguarding referrals and supporting the work of the City and Hackney SAB in general.


Prior experience of working within a multi-agency setting and having a good working knowledge of safeguarding adult legislation will be advantageous.
