Full Job Description
We are looking for Permanent Security Officers for Permanent security duties on HO TfL Corporate and Commercial Head Offices sites, the London Transport Museum.
Positions:
Permanent Security Officer Night Shift for HO TfL 36hrs Contract: overtime is available. Officers must be able to work days, nights, weekends, and bank holidays.
Hourly rate:
£11.95 per hour, (breaks are paid, officers to remain on site)
Mandatory-:
- 5 years background check is compulsory.
- In date, SIA Security Guard or Door Supervisor licence
- First aid preferred, but we can provide training.
- Basic IT skills, able to use a laptop, PC and Mobile phone
- When working at LU sites able to pass drugs and alcohol tests
- Able to pass medical.
- Able to pass Sentinel course.
- Able to pass basic Track Awareness course.
- Able to pass Depot Track access course.

About the Role
- Delivering an excellent high level customer service
- To ensure all duties completed in full to a very high standard.
- Report and act on any security breach, with follow up action.
- To assist with any security, safety, or criminal investigation
- To actively use the Mitie Merlin system (full training will be given)
- To conduct external and internal site patrols and checks of buildings, car parks, and LU sidings and depots (once certs obtained.
- To carry out Fire system tests and monitoring and dealing with alarms and/or building evacuations
- To act as First aider (once trained)
- To support events taking place as a SG or DS level
- To be aware of and ensure compliance with all aspects of policies, SOP's, Toolbox talks and relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
- To fully and satisfactorily complete all of the tasks and duties on site as defined within Assignment Instructions (AI's), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's), Risk Assessments (RA's), Memos and Toolbox talks.
- Attending further training /courses as and when directed.
- Comply with legal obligations and safety requirements of the role.
- Follow instructions and procedures appropriately without unnecessarily challenging authority.

- Fit enough to perform manual handling in a goods in/out environment.
- Fit enough to perform static front of house standing for prolonged periods, able to carry out foot patrols, able to walk up and down stairs.
- Able to pass a medical
- Basic level of IT experience using word and excel.
- Able to read and write basic English (crucial for being able to read instructions and write clear reports or pass on instructions.
