Salary
:

Hourly rate: £13.72.
20% shift premium: £2.744 per hour.
Combined hourly rate
:£16.464.

Weekly basic salary: £658.56.
Annual basic salary: £34,245.12.

I am currently recruiting for a CNC Machinist to join a company who specialize in Thermoforming tooling for the Plastic packaging sectors and provide packaging design, development, and sampling services to a global client base.

Basic Requirements
:

Must be a timeserved apprentice/trainee with academic and practical engineeringrelated qualifications.
Minimum of 5 years of CNC machining/programming/setting experience after the completion of an apprenticeship/traineeship.
Proficient in operating Mazak CNC machines using Mazatrol software controls.
Capable of operating multiple CNC machines and setting other machines while others are running.
Experience with Hermle & Mazak 5 Axis machines is beneficial.

Job Details
:

The CNC work involves the machining of various materials, including mild steel, brass, aluminum, nylon, and resin. Aluminum represents 80% of our machining material usage.
The work is not batchbased, as every tool design is different. However, there may be some repetition in the type of work due to common parts required in the CC build specification.

Shift Pattern
:

We operate a weekly rotating early and late shift pattern within our CNC team.
Week 1: Monday to Friday, 6 am to 2:00 pm (20 min break).
Week 2: Monday to Thursday, 2:00 pm to 10:45 pm (Friday 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm) with a 20 min break.
The standard working hours are 40 per week.
