- Undertake ultrasound procedures in line with existing modality specific clinical guidelines and protocols (aligned with RCR & SOR Standards).
- Support the Operations Team and Head of Service Delivery as required to ensure the smooth running of clinics.
- Investigate and respond to service user complaints as appropriate and as directed by management.
- Investigate and manage incidents reported through our incident reporting system as appropriate and as directed by management.
- Direct and supervise the workload of the sonographers (employed and locum) under your supervision.
- Pro-actively manage sickness absence, performance (including appraisals) and conduct of all members of the team and where applicable, engage the support of People Services
- Undertaking a range of audit assignments, involving all aspects of ultrasound.
- Hold a minimum of a PGD in Ultrasound (or equivalent) and be a member of an appropriate professional body with valid registration.
- Have experience in clinical audits, compiling results and presenting outcomes at a senior level.
- Have excellent written, verbal, and electronic communication skills.
- Have developed interpersonal and relationship management skills.
- Experienced in supporting and managing staff and engaging and motivating team members.
- Experienced in performing and managing ultrasound clinical audits.

Main duties of the job
