    Director of Group Architecture


    About you:


    A proven senior leader used to building and running a teams of architects across a large and diverse portfolio of products.


    Able to bridge the gap between technical and non technical stakeholders and present architectural strategy to the board and investors.

    Is an advocate of hands on architects who remain close to products, developers and customers.


    Experience of selecting and working with technology partners that enrich our development eco system and approves the groups technology radar.

    Can steer a reference architecture for a diverse technology company.

    A natural developer advocate focused on engineering best practice and efficiency. Approves major architectural change as the key sponsor of the Architectural Advisory Board.

    Works closely with the M&A team to define the diligence

    process and personally oversee major deals.

    Capable of leading the response to major incidents and working with development teams to ensure a sustainable resolution.

    Has significant experience in hands on development and remains close to current technologies.


    An individual with gravitas who shows natural leadership and can bring people with them driving significant change through an organisation.

    Day-to-day, you will:n

    Own the reference architecture for the group and drive its adoptionn
    Lead and build out a team of group architects to support that adoptionn
    Own the architectural diligence performed as part of M&A and built into the VCP and integrationn
    Own the technology radar for the organisation and drive adoptionn
    Own the relationship with major development technology vendors identified through the radarn
    Lead major incidents in quickly supporting teams in stabilising their applications and building a sustainable path to improvement.

    Your skills and experiences might also include:n
    Responsible for releasing a large quantity of hyper scale applications across a number of geographiesn
    Proficient software developer in a number of modern languagesn
    History of expertise in a particular aspect of software development e.g. DevOps, Relational, Cloudn
    Cloud native and public cloud evangelistn
    Published and/or conference speaker
