Description
We are currently supporting a fantastic professional service client based in Blackburn who are looking for a HR Assistant to join their small and friendly HR team on a full-time permanent basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HR Assistant who can offer some brilliant transferable skills into the professional sector.
The role will be office based for the first 6 months due to induction, training, working closely with the HR Director and getting to grips with the role, after this period around 2 / 3 days WFH per week.
Responsibilities as a HR Assistant:
- Support the HR Team with all aspects of administration
- Prepare contract of employment and offer letters
- Conduct first morning induction meetings with new joiners
- Administer all new starter paperwork e.g. preemployment checks and reference checking
- Update HR system including maintenance of employee records and reports
- General management of recruitment including running of assessment centres
- Ensure all performance reviews are conducted
- Ensure all absence paperwork is completed
- Support with any ad hoc projects

Requirements:
- Strong HR administration background but ideally HR Assistant level
- Ideally CIPD Level 3 qualified or relevant experience
- Passionate about HR
- Strong team player and is proactive and innovative
- Flexibility to go to other local sites when required
