Job Summary:
CSA Group has an opportunity for a Senior HR Specialist located in Independence, Ohio.

This role, under the guidance of and in collaboration with the Human Resource Manager, will be responsible for managing the day-to-day HR function for the region, including Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Learning & Development, etc.


The Senior HR Specialist will ensure that plans, procedures, and policies are administered consistently with Human Resources objectives and strategies.

They will also ensure compliance with applicable legislation and/or regulations, both nationally and locally where employees' work areas are located.


Responsibilities:


  • Manages all aspects of HR for their assigned area or region which may include but may not be limited to Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Workday module(s), L&D, etc.
  • Supports the managers as needed regarding Workday module(s). Works with HRIS team and external experts, where necessary, to resolve issues, modify processes, etc while continuing to optimize the employee and manager selfservice experience.
  • Dependent on function, responsible for maintenance and record retention of systems processes and databases that impact all employees.
  • Works closely with HR Team, and regional leadership to ensure legal compliance, costeffectiveness, and bestinclass processes.
  • Meets with and advises managers and employees on processes and systems.
  • Responsible for communicating and responding effectively on daytoday enquiries from employees, and local HRM as appropriate.
  • Supports HRIS team in the testing, development and implementation of HR programs and processes for their assigned area of responsibility as needed.
  • Provides recommendations and solutions on issues or concerns with HR programs, processes, and systems.
  • Works on special projects as required.
  • Helps build a model of positive safety culture that recognizes and values the participation and contribution of all workers.
  • Identifies potential unsafe conditions in the workplace.

Education and Experience:

  • Postsecondary school education with a certificate in Human Resources Management (CHRM), or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 or more years of HR administration and systems experience.
  • Knowledge of corporate policies, philosophies, and past practices.
  • Sound knowledge of applicable legislation and contractual agreements.
  • Previous experience with multistate employment legislation preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Workday or other HRIS systems preferred.
  • Ability to work independently to resolve issues and develop proposals and/or communication documents.
