Description

You will be a confident Graphics Designer with 3+ years' experience in the design industry supported by a suitable portfolio to showcase your creativity, design craft and sector knowledge.

You will be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of design techniques for print, digital, interface and traditional design within a luxury brand niche environment.

As a Graphics Designer you will be accountable for quality design work.

You will provide design expertise across many communications with a keen eye for the details that elevate design work to an extraordinary level of thinking and finesse.

Self-assured in your own proven ability you will be able to create intelligent, high-quality designs and ensure that expectations are exceeded with commercial goals being consistently met.


Reporting to the Global Head of Marketing, you will bring curiosity, craft, and confidence to all aspects of the design process across digital assets and traditional print collaterals.

This is a unique opportunity for a driven individual to join Newby Teas and bring the brand's story to life with exceptional design flair, and an outstanding knowledge of user-focused layouts, typography, imagery, and communication design.


Key Accountabilities:


  • Ability to manage the design process from design concept to a finalised solution ready for production (packaging, digital visuals, prints etc.).
  • Working in collaboration with the marketing team to support creative briefings.
  • Working knowledge of Adobe CC, particularly InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, and PowerPoint.
  • Basic proficiency in the use of XD, Figma, After Effects and Premier Pro would be advantageous.
  • Ensure the integrity of design work is maintained throughout the creative process.
  • Showcasing excellent design rationale and craft skills across all collateral, establishing clear usercentric hierarchy of information that sets a benchmark.
  • Organised and structured with strong time management skills.
  • Ability to effectively quality assess design work throughout the creative process.
  • Proactive, a real doer and problem solver.
  • Follow Newby Tea's brand identity and standards and guidelines across all designs.

Professional Skills & Experience:


  • Ability to communicate with the team and fully understand project briefs.
  • Proven experience in interpreting briefs using a mix of design expertise, commercial awareness, and as directed by others.
  • Evidence of bringing the brand story to life through innovative, impactful design ideas and visualisations.
  • An ability to translate creative briefs into exciting and dynamic visual executions across all design assets and guidelines.
  • Comprehensive understanding of developing visual solutions that have impact, are onbrand, and consistent.
  • Working with the wider team to brainstorm design ideas, user experiences, and interactive touch points.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required

  • Proven work experience as a Designer or Graphics Designer in a similar role
  • Portfolio of completed design projects
  • Handson experience with image editing software, like Adobe Suite and proficiency in other design software.
  • Strong aesthetic skills with the ability to combine various colours, fonts and layouts
  • Extensive experience in branding, typography, print and web design, working within an inhouse creative.
  • A good understanding of branding and visual identity for a luxury brand.
  • Basic skills in art direction, particularly for potential photoshoots and creative visuals.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and collaborate with a team.
  • A degree in Design, Visual Arts or relevant field.
