Main Duties of the Job

Work in alignment with the NMC Code of Professional Conduct as a named nurse or key worker, focusing on patients' health, assessment, care programs, and discharge planning.
Gain experience in clinical practice, facilitation, teaching, and management under supervision.
Contribute to UCLH Nursing and Midwifery Strategy and Core Standards, advancing the Trust's objectives.
Maintain effective communication, provide holistic patient-centered care, and take charge in the absence of senior nursing staff.

Person Specification

Knowledge & Qualifications

Essential: Registered Nurse Part 1, 2, or relevant register section.
Desirable: Teaching course and NVQ assessor qualifications.

Experience

Essential: Up to 6 months post-registration and passed Foundation gateway Level.

Communication

Essential: Effective verbal, written, and electronic communication skills.

Personal And People Development

Essential: Professional development in line with KSF, awareness of facilitation role, ability to educate, and reflective practice.

Quality

Essential: Understanding of Clinical Governance, Risk Management, audit, and quality principles.
