Description

An Import & Export Coordinator is required, to join a Maidstone-based manufacturer. A permanent, site-based role, salary in the region of £30-£35k.

The Import / Export Coordinator joins a growing supply chain team to provide support for the shipment of raw materials, components and finished goods within the UK, Europe, the Far East and America.

Ideally suited to a logistics professional at the early stages of their career, this offers excellent long term employment stability, with the potential for career development and progression.

What you will do:

Obtain shipping quotes for import and export shipments
Compare quotes to identify savings
Record shipping information to support the logistics team
Manage import & export customs documents, ensuring efficient, costeffective procedures are identified
Review freight forwarders performance
Monitor and advise the business on import and export consignments
Maintain relationships with freight forwarders, suppliers and customers

Whom we are looking for:

Knowledge of UK customs, global freight and transportation
Strong imports, exports, shipping and freight awareness
Proven history of managing import, export, shipping and customs documents
Negotiation of prices and services with 3Pls and Freight Forwarders
Understanding of Logistics and the end to end supply chain
Strong verbal and written communication skills, a keen eye for detail and high levels of accuracy
Intermediate/advanced computer skills
You will already be based in the UK, and eligible to work and remain on an indefinite basis
Willing and able to work, fulltime, onsite
