We currently have a job opening for Residential Support Worker in our Children's Home in East Tilbury

Salary:
Ranges from £25,000 to £32,000 per annum (depending on experience and qualifications)

Overtime Available:
£12.50 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

Support young people in daily activities, including accessing the community, family contact support, and promoting independence.
Ensure the safety of young people, maintaining uptodate knowledge of individual care plans.
Manage the wellbeing and behaviour of young people, addressing issues promptly and sensitively.
Develop and maintain positive working relationships with staff, parents, social workers, and other professionals involved in the young people's lives.

Duties and Responsibilities:

To be part of a team which wants to achieve the highest standards of care for the children and young people in our home.
To participate in a comprehensive staff training and development programme to ensure that you are equipped with the necessary skills and levels of expertise to meet the needs of the young people.
To work with the Registered Manager and Deputy Manager/ Team Leader to ensure that all staff work together and with others towards meeting the emotional and physical needs of the young people and planning for positive outcomes.
To work as a member of a team, ensuring that the reception, ongoing care and discharge of Young People is undertaken in accordance with the statutory framework and policies & procedures of the organisation.
To attend and contribute to staff meetings; this involves participation and collaboration with other staff in the provision of care to enable the development of the home.

Person Specification:

Previous experience working with children and young people
Experience working with Children who have Emotional & Behavioural needs
Level 3 Diploma in Children's Health and Social Care or willingness to work towards
Good Knowledge of Child Safeguarding Policies and Procedures
Must be able to commit to a shift pattern
Must be flexible to work Monday
Sunday

(40 hours per week)

Pay:
£25,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
