We currently have a job opening for Residential Support Worker in our Children's Home in East Tilbury

Salary:
Ranges from £25,000 to £32,000 per annum (depending on experience and qualifications)


Overtime Available:
£12.50 per hour

Key Responsibilities:


  • Support young people in daily activities, including accessing the community, family contact support, and promoting independence.
  • Ensure the safety of young people, maintaining uptodate knowledge of individual care plans.
  • Manage the wellbeing and behaviour of young people, addressing issues promptly and sensitively.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with staff, parents, social workers, and other professionals involved in the young people's lives.

Duties and Responsibilities:


  • To be part of a team which wants to achieve the highest standards of care for the children and young people in our home.
  • To participate in a comprehensive staff training and development programme to ensure that you are equipped with the necessary skills and levels of expertise to meet the needs of the young people.
  • To work with the Registered Manager and Deputy Manager/ Team Leader to ensure that all staff work together and with others towards meeting the emotional and physical needs of the young people and planning for positive outcomes.
  • To work as a member of a team, ensuring that the reception, ongoing care and discharge of Young People is undertaken in accordance with the statutory framework and policies & procedures of the organisation.
  • To attend and contribute to staff meetings; this involves participation and collaboration with other staff in the provision of care to enable the development of the home.

Person Specification:


  • Previous experience working with children and young people
  • Experience working with Children who have Emotional & Behavioural needs
  • Level 3 Diploma in Children's Health and Social Care or willingness to work towards
  • Good Knowledge of Child Safeguarding Policies and Procedures
  • Must be able to commit to a shift pattern
  • Must be flexible to work Monday
  • Sunday
(40 hours per week)


Pay:
£25,000.00-£32,000.00 per year

  • Day shift
  • Night shift
  • Overtime
  • Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Tilbury, RM18 8SH: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
