Job Purpose:


The role of Head of Commercial Sales is to lead the Commercial Sales Team of Epwin Window Systems Division to promote and specify our products and services to local authorities, housing associations, RSLs, contractors, national housebuilders, architects and developers.

Develop Epwin's commercial offering to our Approved Commercial Customers to ultimately deliver and win commercial contracts.


Key Accountabilities:


  • Adherence to all organisational policies, management systems and standard operational procedures, including legal responsibilities in relation to Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality.
  • Work positively to develop and foster good working relationships with colleagues and contracted personnel in order to maintain a culture of mutual respect and dignity.
  • Represent the organisation in a positive way as to avoid the damage of corporate image or bringing the company into disrepute.
  • Promote and display the Epwin Core Values.
  • Work with the Commercial Team to gain specification with local authorities, housing associations, public bodies, contractors, architects, QS, hospital boards, schools and the MOD
  • Oversee and manage major accounts
  • To specify and then obtain orders from above types of organisations as new customers who are financially secure
  • Work in conjunction with the Business Development Managers (BDMs) and their fabricators to ensure clear communication
  • Support the preparation of drawings for tender (site surveys for design)
  • Assist on local authority tenders in conjunction with the fabricator with regard to pricing matrices and tenders for proposed jobs
  • To manage the Commercial Marketing Administrator in the delivery of all marketing support and monthly reports to understand value and activity of online and specification activity.
  • Manage the sales team to ensure geographical area coverage along with responsibility on a methodical basis, maximizing the sales potential, especially within highly populated areas
  • Ensure wherever possible that Epwin Window Systems are the only ones specified, gleaning all necessary information on future project timescales and budgets involved
  • Ensure the Commercial Team are maintaining accurate and up to date information with the ICE CRM System.
  • Monthly reporting on activity, developing report to suit business needs and decision making.
  • To liaise with the Technical Department in Telford for CAD drawings, to support customer tenders
  • To ensure technical team are kept updated with Epwin Window Systems capabilities and understand areas that need addressing to ensure our systems fully comply with specification described in tenders
**Key Experiences and Skills Required: - At least three to four years' experience in of selling in the window systems/products sector

  • Two years' experience in working with fabrication and installation
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft PowerPoint, Access and Excel
  • Site management experience including ability to conduct site surveys
  • Full driving license
