Introduction:


Our client is looking for someone who has worked very closely with National Security clients currently or in the past, to lead technical and research projects.

You will need to have experience working with Engineers and other Technical Consultants, to drive projects from concept and bid stages, through to delivery.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone to work on complex projects/programmes (up to £5m) and engage with senior stakeholders with the Government

- 3 days per week on site.

Key responsibilities:


  • To successfully deliver technical projects from concept to project completion as per contractual requirements.
  • Lead the delivery of competitive and compelling bids that clearly address customer requirements.
  • Financial management of projects to ensure delivery against accurate financial forecasts.
  • Manage the resource requirements of the project(s).
  • Work with technical teams to document and manage assumptions and dependencies to produce project plans.
  • Ensure requirements are being managed, recorded, and signed off in the designated tool for the project.
  • Maintain a risk register of threats and opportunities for the programme.

Skills & experience:


  • Extensive track record of enterprise software Project Management delivery within, or to, Government customers.
  • Ability to manage stakeholders and information flow in a matrix environment.
  • Extensive experience in managing projects that range from conceptual research through to subsystem development, delivery, and support of programmes up to £5m.
  • Presale / bid delivery experience and a thorough understanding of the business lifecycle.
  • Proven experience in programme planning and developing Integrated Programme Schedules.
  • Possess a strong aptitude to lead schedule, cost, risk, change management activities, and reporting.
