An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, well-qualified and experienced Double Bass teacher to join the school on a part time basis from September 2024. Though the allocation of teaching will be small initially, the Director of Music is looking to increase the number of double bassists in the school, and the precise allocation will be discussed at interview.
The appointed candidate will teach pupils, ranging from complete beginners to those of a high standard, the technique and musicianship required, offering encouragement, support and guidance as necessary. The role includes preparing appropriate pupils for Associated Board (or similar) Music Exams and preparing appropriate pupils for the practical component of GCSE and A Level examinations.
