IBK are in search for enthusiastic, caring individuals to support disabled young people and adults on a one to one basis in Sheffield.

The support very much depends on the person's wants and needs, as well as taking part in the individuals hobbies, spending time in their home, enjoying and trying new things, while communicating and learning from one another, or helping with independent living skills.

You will be working in close relationship with the person's family so must have the empathy and skills to work with others.

Your working hours will be flexible and they may include evenings and weekends. Hours can vary from 3 to 25 hours a week depending on the people you work with.

Person Specification:
Essential

Willing to learn from the person, their family and friends.
Be friendly, reliable, and honest; and maintain confidentiality.
Be respectful in the family-home.
Be comfortable with physical contact.
Be creative and confident in your personal approach to involving the person in new opportunities.
Have a genuine desire to enhance the person's life and boost their self confidence.
A good sense of humour.
Desirable

Car driver, holding clean driving licence.
An understanding of the nature of this type of support work.
Experience and understanding of communication difficulties.
Having interests, hobbies and skills you could share with the people you support

£9.91-£15.00 per hour
