We're Smart Tec Solutions operating throughout the UK offering Mechanical and Electrical Engineering services, specialising in retail, commercial and education sectors.

We offer a true design and build service to all sectors.


Position


Smart Tec Mech Ltd are searching for a Mechanical Apprentice who will join the construction industry and learn to be a Mechanical Engineer.

We are looking for a hard-working individual with a practical interest.


We work nationally on fast-track projects, so the individual is required to be flexible and used to working away from home.


The role will include attending college on block release (2 weeks per block in college) alongside undertaking on the job training.


Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Install bracketry/domesticdrainageheatingchilled water pipework.
  • Undertake and record all site tasks undertaken for college portfolio.
  • Understand pipework testing procedures.
  • Read and understand mechanical installation drawings.
  • Gain knowledge of mechanical systems.
  • Undertake site specific training (IPAF-Asbestos Awareness).
  • Understand site safety (RAMS-Task Briefings).
  • Attend college on block release.

Requirements:


  • Maths & English Grades 4 and above (required).
  • Demonstrable practical interest (required).
  • Previous plumbing experience (preferred).
  • CSCS (preferred).
  • Driving Licence (preferred).

Salary:
Up to £9.20 per hour

We have directly employed SMSTS site supervisors, plumbers, heating engineers, electricians, and apprentices alongside with a team of trusted sub-contractors.

Our team operate nationwide day or night, including weekends to meet the needs of our clients.

To do this, we continuously develop our processes and policies, this involves regular staff training and monitoring of current procedures, which enables us to deliver the best possible service.

We are always keen to build and develop new working relationships.

To date, we have delivered in excess of one thousand projects for M&S through main contractors, along with projects for other companies.

The projects have ranged from £500 to £3.2 Million.
