An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, committed and compassionate Band 6 Paediatric Senior Staff Nurse to work in a challenging, dynamic and world-renowned unit – Children's Ward Princess Royal University Hospital.
The Children's Ward is a 12 bedded general medical unit which has specialist areas which include diabetes and respiratory medicine. We treat acute admissions from the Emergency Department. We have a small team of clinical nurse specialists in the fields of diabetes, asthma/allergy and epilepsy who are focused towards delivering exceptional patient care.
We are seeking to recruit a registered children's nurse to join the dedicated paediatric team. You will need to be flexible, enthusiastic and passionate about paediatric care for children and young people, be highly motivated with good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team in a challenging environment.
In addition, we boast a 4 bedded day case department with the opportunity to lead on food challenges, injections, infusion and day surgeries.
We are committed to developing our staff in training and education with the ability to work flexible working hours.
The ward has strong relationships with the broader multidisciplinary team such as Denmark Hill and South Thames Retrieval Service. The nursing team are skilled to deliver an exceptionally high standard of care to dependent children and their families.
