£16 Per Hour
40 Hours Per Week. Monday to Friday
Temporary to Permanent

We are delighted to be working with them to find a key individual to fulfil the role of a Lathe Operative for their team in Bleadon, Somerset.
Key Responsibilities:
- Using machines in workshop i.e. handheld tools, manual lathe, milling, surface grinding and other engineering. machines to reengineer and refurbish large component parts.
- To be able to machine different types of materials in the workshop.
- To be comfortable spraying, drilling and milling old and worn component parts.
- Inspecting reengineered and refurbished products to ensure quality.
- Strong team member willing to assist wherever required.
- To be able to work as part team as well as an individual.
- Communicating without supervision on any issues.
- Always adhering to safe working practices.
- Working to appropriate deadlines.
- Adhere to stated policies and procedures relating to health and Safety and quality management.
- Assisting other members of staff as necessary.
- Undertaking any other tasks/duties as may be reasonably required.
- Willingness to comply with all HSQE requirements and procedural controls.
- Strong housekeeping ethic.
Required Skills:
- Come from a manual background and be able you use manual lathe, milling, surface grinding and other engineering machines.
- Attention to detail.
- Hands on, with tools or engineering.
- To be able to work as part team as well as an individual.
- Methodical thinker.
- Able to complete tasks using own initiative.
- Be a problem solver.
- You will preferably come from an engineering background.
- Good organisation, and communication skills.
