About you

  • Educated to minimum GCSE standard or equivalent with significant experience of
working in programme delivery in a predominantly volunteer led environment.

  • Evidence of great communication skills and achievement within a customer service environment.
  • Experience of working within a busy, diverse, target driven working environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Relevant knowledge and experience of working with community groups, volunteers and with specific target groups.
  • High integrity, objectivity and an advocate for change who has a handson approach.
  • A passionate team member who is organised, flexible and has a solution driven approach, able to prioritise and work under pressure in a fluid environment.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Package including Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

What will you be doing?

  • Provide excellent customer service support to the Community Programme volunteers, customers, casual employees (Area-Coordinators) & stakeholders through various communication channels, answering questions and queries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Responsible for delivery growth of the Community Programmes, working with the Community Programme Manager to deliver the programme aims, specifically connecting with the wider organisation;
  • Lead delivery contact between the Community Programmes Team and regional based Community Developers, ensuring close alignment of operational activity.
  • Provide a heightened level of delivery support for the Community Programme Area Coordinators including leading or assisting on monthly virtual meetings.
  • Undertake specific national Community Programme tasks / projects, assigned, and delegated from the Community Programme Manager as and when business priorities dictate.
  • Market and promote Community Programme opportunities nationally.
  • Responsible for communicating to relevant colleagues, delivery plans and progress against own areas of community programmes responsibility.
  • Contribute to team decision making in relation to programmes, projects, business efficiency, capacity and the development of the Community Programmes Team.
