Financial Accounts Officer

Trade Association

3 Days Home, 1 Day Central London - 28 hours per week

Basic Salary £33,000-£37,000 pro rata dependant on experience

My client is a well-established trade association is currently recruiting for a Finance Officer.


The Role of Finance Officer
To work with the Accounts Assistant to proactively manage the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable ledgers.


To assist the Financial Controller with month end and year end procedures, as well as day to day financial activities.

To communicate internally and externally to ensure the smooth operation of the finance function.


Duties
Balance sheet reconciliations and journals

Perform monthly bank reconciliations for all accounts

Assist with preparation of management reports

Assist Financial Controller with membership renewals processes

Work with the Accounts Assistant to process supplier invoices and proactively collect overdue debt from customers

Prepare payment runs and communicate with suppliers

The Person
At least one year's experience in a similar role

Accounts Payable experience essential

Credit Control experience essential

Assistance of balance sheet reconciliations essential

Ability to investigate and resolve queries independently

Experience using Microsoft Business Central or similar finance software

Effective multi-tasker to handle the full breadth of this role

Strong communication and interpersonal skills as a key point of contact in the finance team
