    Project Manager Position at a Leading Company in Gloucestershire

    One-year Contract Opportunity

    Are you ready to take charge as a Project Manager overseeing a range of IT projects from start to finish? In this role, you'll handle project resources, schedules, finances, and provide regular progress updates. Following the company's stage gate processes, you'll ensure solid controls for project changes and risk management.

    What we expect from you...

    • Take full ownership of defining, documenting, and successfully completing IT projects.
    • Utilize various project management methods and tools, selecting the best approach for each project.
    • Maintain effective project control, change control, risk management, and testing processes.
    • Monitor and manage resources, revenue, and costs against the project budget.
    • Plan, direct, and coordinate activities from project initiation to final implementation.
    • Ensure projects achieve business benefits and stay informed about technical advancements.
    • Provide matrix management for project team members and resources.
    • Handle project communications and stakeholder engagement.
    • Prepare necessary reports to meet corporate reporting standards.
    • Contribute to the governance of the corporate project portfolio.

    Requirements for the Role:

    • Experience in project management with a focus on methodologies like Agile, SCRUM, and SDLC/Waterfall.
    • Proficiency in preparing and delivering clear reports, risk management, and cost/benefit analysis.
    • Expertise in benefits realization and successful project delivery within public sector or complex organizations.

    Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    • Ability to influence various stakeholders and present solid business cases.
    • Skilled in handling challenging discussions and effective problem-solving.
    • Strong facilitation, analytical, and multitasking abilities.
    • Excellent research, communication, and technology understanding.
