RB Recruitment is looking for an experienced Internal Communications Specialist to join a growing Internal Communications team forming a vital part of the wider Marketing team.

The purpose of the function is to support the business with delivering impactfulcommunications aligned to business strategy.

The aim is to encourage two-way communications - to support wider strategic business objectives and play an important role in reflecting the culture and voice of our people.


Following recent acquisition of a major competitor, this is a critical change project forming a major part of the current work of the Internal Communications team.

You will play a leading role in supporting the team to deliver innovative, positive and 'nodrama' communications throughout the process.


You will support the Internal Communications Lead and internal stakeholders with promoting awareness and advocacy of the UK business vision, strategy and objectives.

You will be a visible ambassador for employee engagement and the internal communicationsfunction


Summary:

  • Support with the planning, delivery, and evaluation of internal communications activity for a largescale company acquisition.
  • Proactively engage and liaise with stakeholders to help achieve business aims through internal communications.
  • Execute effective internal communications from brief to delivery across the full mix of communications channels, from intranet content and display media to events and briefings.
  • Contribute to the development of the internal communications strategy
  • Report on effectiveness of campaigns and key communications activity and support the Internal Communications Lead with evaluation where required
  • Manage and execute high impact employee events
  • Ensure corporate messaging (particularly around the acquisition) and news is communicated effectively throughout the business
  • Work closely with the Internal Communications Lead and the Internal Communications Executive to manage and continuously improve the company intranet
  • Work closely with the Internal Communications Lead to deliver, continuously evolve and strengthen the IMO/acquisition central narrative
  • Play a key role in helping to manage and deliver the calendar of activity for the internal communications team
In addition, as the Marketing Communications Manager you should be:

  • Proven experience in internal communications, ideally in a corporate setting and at a senior level
  • Experience of change management communications
  • Creative and strategic in their approach to planning and delivery of communications
  • Strong copywriting (short and longer form) and editorial skills. Can write and tailor content for different audiences that demonstrates a deep understanding of messaging, positioning and stakeholder needs.
  • Experience of development, tactical delivery and evaluation of communication campaigns
  • Project management skills
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills and experience of working with Board level stakeholders
  • Experience of events management and delivery (both online and facetoface)
  • A creative flair with an eye for design and attention to detail. Experience and understanding of design software packages (e.g. Adobe PhotoShop)
  • An ability to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment, enjoying the challenge of managing multiple projects simultaneously, working under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • An empathetic and innovative approach towards internal communications with a genuine passion for people and engagement
  • Independent and able to manage own work (whilst also being a keen team player)
  • A deep knowledge and understanding of MS Office tools and systems, including Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, Word and Excel
