This role is part of an employment advice service, based within the IAPT service, working closely with clinicians who provide support to people with common mental health problems.

The post holders will support service users with common mental health problems to gain, return to or retain employment.

The role will involve working directly and in directly with Jobcentre Plus, employers, trade unions and employment agencies to keep people in employment and secure employment opportunities


Meeting and exceeding performance targets for referrals, employer engagement, and job starts in adherence with compliance with contractual guidelines, quality procedures and paperwork requirements.


Key responsibilities will include:

  • Manage a caseload of up to 25/30 clients, of whom are unemployed looking for work, those in work off sick, those in work who are requiring retention support.
  • To work towards targets in access & employment and demonstrating excellent caseload management
  • To undertake IPS/ IAPT training and develop an understanding of Fidelity
  • Become fully integrated into the clinical teams to build collaborative relationships and receive direct referrals
  • Conduct initial meetings with participants to build rapport, gain consent and collect baseline information. Support participants to understand their skills aspiration and goals through the completion of vocational profile and produce a personal employment plan to obtain competitive employment in line with their preferences
  • Identify barriers to employment and assist participants with job readiness skills, job search strategies, CV building etc.
  • Attend all relevant internal and external and internal stakeholder meetings, prioritizing MDTs/ Community Care Meetings.
  • Keep abreast of local labor market trends, job openings, skills requirements and general information that will assist participants in seeking employment
  • Proactively source potential job opportunities with employers through tailored and targeted approach
  • Ensure all participant information is requested, recorded, stored electronically and in hard copy in accordance with fidelity and compliance requirements so that participants journey to employment is fully documented and claims can be made in a timely fashion.
  • Ensure you are using the NHS MIS, Carenotes/ RIO to document client's journey ensuring you adhere to GDPR standards
  • Receive and manage referrals ensuring all referrals are contacted within agreed timescales
  • Aim to identify work solutions that will overcome or minimise difficulties within the workplace. In particular establishing any returntowork issues, potential behavior in the work place, possible work solutions. Provide the person with appropriate tools to enable them to ensure that their needs are met within the workplace. Support to either selfadvocate or source an appropriate advocate.
  • To assist in the preparation of project reviews, reports, project audits, case studies and data as required by the 2gether trust, IPS Grow & Landau and other stakeholders
  • If appropriate signpost the person to other agencies who will be able to provide advice on other benefits/support the person may be entitled to.
  • Ensure that you take positive actions to safeguard young people and vulnerable adults you come into contact and follow correct procedures around safeguarding
  • To be committed to continuing professional development (CPD) to maintain and develop professional standards
  • To fully comply with Health and Safety, Equal opportunities/Diversity, Quality assurance, sustainable development, safeguarding and GDPR protocols
  • To undertake such other duties, training and/or hours of work as may be reasonably required and which are consistent with the general level of responsibility of this role.
Full time hours: 36.5 Hours Per Week


Salary:
_£25,000-£27,200 Per Annum_

This is a fixed term post until 30th April 2025
